• Take about 5 minutes to complete as much as you can as a group. (Don't worry if you are missing some things. We will go over this on Monday.)
3. Complete Dead Poets Society Quiz on Schoology.
• You may work together as a group and CAN use your blue sheet, but each member must complete their own quiz on Schoology to earn a score.
• You have 3 attempts.
4. Take the yellow and green sheet from the podium.
5. Add the following activities to your notebook Table of Contents
• Activity--Parent Persuasive Speech Assignment (YELLOW SHEET)
• Activity--Parent Persuasive Speech Sample Outline (GREEN SHEET)
6. Parent Persuasive Speech
• Read ALL of Side 1 of the yellow Parent Persuasive Speech assignment:

• The Task
• Note
• Complete the TOP of the yellow Parent Persusiave Speech Worksheet:
• Student Name
• Hour
• Make a list of several things that you could use as your topic for this persuasive speech.
• After choosing one of the above topics, list it below and proceed to develop the three valid, logical reasons why your parents should agree with you.
• Now, write or type a complete outline for this speech using an Introduction, Body, and Conclusion. (Use the sample outline as a guide.)
• You DO NOT need to complete: Practice your speech. Now you are ready to present your case! We will do this on Monday.
• DO NOT COMPLETE Parent Persuasive Speech Evaluation
• DO NOT COMPLETE Parent Persuasive Speech Student Reflection
• You do not need to present this speech yet. Mr. Buckley will explain the presentation part of the assignment on Monday.
