      • Speech Day Procedures
        • Timer
          • Give hand signals to speaker.
          • Tell Mr. Buckley time when he asks after the speech.
        • Pre-Speech
          • Make sure Mr. Buckley can access your outline online.
        • During Speech
          • Be a respectful and encouraging listener.
            • Listen quietly.
            • Put away phones and other digital devices--I should not see phones.
            • No homework.
            • No talking.
            • Give eye contact and attention to the speaker.
        • After Speech

              • When you reflect back on the Colors Activity and Colors Speech, what is one thing you will take away from this experience that will help you improve your public speaking skills in the future? Explain.

        • Think back to your Special Object Speech & Colors Speech. I want you to consider how fearful you were during your Special Object Speech & Colors Speech.
          1. Special Object Speech
            • On a scale of 1 (NOT STRESSFUL AT ALL) to 10 (EXTREMELY STRESSFUL), how STRESSFUL was the Special Object Speech BEFORE you presented?
            • Describe how you felt BEFORE the speech. Were you more fearful the day before or just before presenting? What reactions did you have? Butterflies in your stomach? Sweating? Nervous? Nothing?
            • How did you feel AFTER the speech? Were you relieved, still nervous, or frustrated?
          2. Colors Speech
            • On a scale of 1 (NOT STRESSFUL AT ALL) to 10 (EXTREMELY STRESSFUL), how STRESSFUL was the Colors Speech BEFORE you presented?
