- Compound Words
- Find a partner.
- You and your partner are going to decide on a compound word (i.e. tooth-paste, be-came, basket-ball, rail-road, etc.).
- Create a celebration--a motion and sound to celebrate your success. Your celebration must be something that the two of you do together when you successfully accomplish the task that is coming.
- Separate, mix up, close eyes, come together, CELEBRATE!
- SHARE:

- Failure?
- Success?
- How do you react when you encounter fear?
- Do you shut down? (Yes/No)
- Do you fall into a "worst case or doomsday scenario" downward spiral? (Yes/No)
- When it comes to Public Speaking, think about these questions?
- What if I fail? How will I recover?
- What if I do nothing?
- What if I succeed?
- What is ONE THING you can do to begin changing your attitude about encountering your fear?
- Fear Video Clip Presentation
- Review Grading Rubric
- Create Partner Groups for Peer Presentations
- Revise and Finalize Visual Aid
- Make sure all parts are present.
- All Spelling & Grammar is correct.
- Interesting and Relevent Pictures.
- Polish and Perfect Visual Aid.
- Individual Practice
- Determine who will present what.
- Individually practice what you will say. Do this MULTIPLE TIMES.
- Group Practice
- As a group, practice your presentation.
- Peer Presentations
- DO THIS 15 MINUTES BEFORE THE END OF CLASS.
- PRESENT to your partner group:
- Present your speech to your partner group.
- Once finished, your partner group will GRADE you using your grading rubric. (This grade DOES NOT count.)
